Delivered straight to the hotel in Hoi An. They showed me how the rain poncho folds under the seat and made me ride twenty metres in front of them — it was my first time on a scooter, and that turned out to be worth doing. They were about twenty minutes late, and messaged to say so.

I took the manual specifically for the Hai Van pass. The chain was tensioned and the tyres were fresh — you can tell the bikes are serviced between rentals, not just wiped down. It never let me down on the pass.

I picked it for the under-seat storage — two helmets and a bag of beach things fit in there. They brought a child helmet for my daughter separately and the size was right, even though I had only guessed her age.

The main thing is that they did not ask for my passport as a deposit. At two shops near the beach the conversation had ended on exactly that. The helmet was scuffed on the outside but clean inside, and that is my only complaint.

Four of us with two children, so we needed seven seats. The car arrived clean, with a full tank and a child seat. Questions in chat were answered within the hour, Sunday evening included.
